The first milestone has been reached! I have registered, paid the participation fee and full pass, and secured the first nights at the hotel. Now all I have to do is keep working – the stage awaits!
Grand Oasis Cancun is more than a luxurious all-inclusive resort – it is the venue for the Eurosonlatino Championship 2025! Now it's official: I'm registered, the entry fee and full pass are paid, the hotel is booked, and the first night is already covered – now there's no turning back!
Just a year ago, the thought of being in a short dance video was enough to make me nervous. Now I'm competing in the biggest world championship and on the biggest stage in the world. It feels both surreal and terrifying – because the truth is, this is terrifying. I have stage fright. Standing alone on stage and being judged by judges and the audience is one of my biggest challenges. But I'm going to do it.
Have you ever felt the fear of standing in front of an audience?
The feeling that all eyes are on you, and your heart is beating extra hard?
This is not just about me. This is bigger than one person – it is about putting Norway on the map in one of the world's biggest dance competitions. Norway has rarely had representatives at this level, and I hope that by taking this step, I can inspire more people to dare to try, regardless of age or background. I am just the tool, the one who takes the step onto the stage, but this is a journey we take together. When I stand there representing Norway, I carry with me all of you who have believed in me, cheered me on and shared the passion for Latin dances.
What would you do if you had the chance to represent your country in something you are passionate about?
And today we celebrate an important milestone:
The goal was to have everything paid by March 17th – and we did it! This is not only a personal milestone, but a confirmation that we are moving forward. One step closer to the stage, one step closer to the goal.
I know that this year will have its ups and downs. But one thing is for sure: I will not retire. With the support of those around me, I will have the energy to work on everything I need to do a good job at the World Cup.
The next milestone lies ahead of me:
Now I have to get important sponsors in place, be visible among people, go out to large department stores and centers to make Latin dances even more visible. I will also send out press releases and work on creating awareness around this journey, so that more people can join in putting Norway on the map in this fantastic dance world. At the same time, the physical and mental training continues – because the stage awaits – and I will stand there, strong, ready and ready to shine!
The way forward is clear – now all you have to do is take the next step!
What do you think is the most important thing to succeed with a big dream?
Is it talent, perseverance – or maybe the courage to take the plunge?
