Your energy is your life force – here's how to take care of it

Have you ever woken up and felt completely empty, without knowing why? I've had days like that myself. Sometimes my energy is at its peak, other times it feels like an empty well. What creates this difference? How can we consciously influence our own energy? Have you also experienced days where you suddenly feel full of energy and joy for no particular reason?

It's no coincidence. Everything around you, including your thoughts, your feelings, and the people you surround yourself with, affects your energy. It shapes how you feel, move, relate to others, and how much you are able to give back to life.

For me, energy work is not only part of my journey towards the World Championship, but part of my lifestyle. Body, heart, mind and soul are interconnected, and without awareness of our own energy we can easily end up out of balance. I actively work on this every day to perform in life, not just on the dance floor.

Learn to manage and replenish your energy

Many people think that energy is something you either have or lack.

But energy is not a fixed quantity – it is something we can create, influence and replenish. Energy is not just about physical endurance, but also affects our thoughts, emotions and body. It is magnetic and can be consciously controlled. I notice it especially through dance and exercise, but it applies to all parts of life. Research and experience show that we can actually control our energy. Albert Einstein said it powerfully: "Match the frequency of the reality you desire, and you cannot help but get that reality. It cannot be any other way. This is not philosophy – it is physics."

What kind of energy do you want to create in your life? How can you actively adjust your frequency to attract what you want?


Find your energy leaks – and strengthen what gives you power

Have you noticed what drains you in your daily life? How can you become more aware of eliminating or reducing these factors?

How do you notice energy in your everyday life?

Reflect on these questions:

  • What gives me energy?
  • What drains me of energy?
  • Which people lift me up, and who pulls me down?
  • What activities bring me joy in life?

To create balance, try this simple exercise:

  • Make a list: Note what gives and takes energy.
  • Look at your habits: Do you prioritize what recharges you?
  • Make conscious choices: Create more of what strengthens you, and reduce what drains you.


How to start your day with high energy

Your energy is formed from the moment you wake up. If you start your day with peace, movement and nourishment, you will have more to give to yourself and others.

This is something I practice myself to stay balanced in my everyday life.

Here are some simple tips for an energized morning:

  • Breathing: Six deep inhales and five long exhales calm the nervous system.
  • Movement: Stretch, dance, take a short walk – let the energy flow.
  • Music: Choose a song that gives you good feelings and sets the mood.
  • Nutrition: A balanced breakfast provides stable energy throughout the day.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? How can you create a morning routine that gives you more energy and balance?

Your surroundings affect you – choose them consciously

Who and what do you surround yourself with on a daily basis? How do they affect your energy and your ability to be your best self?

Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt a heavy or light mood? The energy we surround ourselves with affects us more than we think. Psychological research shows that energy is contagious. If you surround yourself with people who complain and spread negativity, your own energy will decrease. On the other hand, if you surround yourself with inspiring and cheerful people, your own frequency will increase.

Ask yourself:

  • Who gives me energy?
  • Who is draining my energy?
  • How can I protect myself from negative energy?

I have learned that setting boundaries is not selfish, but necessary.

When you take care of your own energy, you have more to give to those who matter most to you.

Build a strong and stable energy every day

Donna Eden, pioneer in energy medicine, says:

"Energy is the root of everything in our lives. It drives every breath, every heartbeat."

I see energy work as just as important a part of my training as physical strength and technique. Many people turn to coffee, sugar or quick fixes to get their energy up, but this only gives a short-term effect.

To build a strong and stable energy, we must work with the whole.

Just as we train our bodies, we can train our energy.

Dance, movement, breathing and energy exercises, meditation and mental training help give me a flowing and balanced energy in my everyday life.

Energy is in constant motion, and you have the power to control it.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What can I do right now to replenish my energy?
  • What simple habit can I adopt to feel more balanced?
  • Who do I want to be, and how can I adjust my energy to match that person?

For me, energy work is a way of life. What is the first step you can take today to strengthen your energy? Start now – your energy is your most important resource! It is not just about competition, but about living with more energy, joy and balance. Take care of it, protect it and use it wisely.
